Four Cracking Episodes, One West Wallaby Street

The game unfolds as four distinct narrative episodes, each built around its own scenario in the colorful world of West Wallaby Street. In the first, Wallace tries to rescue his struggling honey business by growing supersized flowers, which produces giant bees and leaves Gromit to save the town from the angry swarm. The second moves the pair's derailed holiday plans into their basement, which they convert into a beach resort; when a resort guest is struck down by an unknown assailant, Gromit turns to the deduct-o-matic invention to solve the case.

Progress runs episode by episode through these self-contained scenarios, with the duo facing trials and tribulations before setting things right by tea time. The comedic tone carries across the series: the earnest inventor and his faithful canine companion embark on ambitious new ventures that gather unexpected, laugh-inducing complications, including giant bees, kidnapped dogs, a cellar beach resort, and a finale at the Prickly Thicket country club. The four adventures were made by Aardman Animations, creators of the Wallace & Gromit films, together with Telltale Games.

Supersized Flowers and the Giant Bee Swarm

The first episode, "Fright of the Bumblebees," centers on Wallace's bumbling honey business. To rescue it, he attempts to grow supersized flowers, but the plan produces an unintended consequence: giant bees. The result is an angry swarm, and it falls to Gromit to save the town from it. The episode's structure pairs Wallace's ambitious invention with a problem that escalates beyond his control, leaving his canine companion to handle the rescue while the comedic complications pile up around the pair.

Across the four episodes, the duo moves through trials and tribulations in order to set things right by tea time. Each episode resolves its own comedic conflict, so the supersized flowers and giant swarm belong to a self-contained scenario rather than a single continuous plot. The series places the earnest inventor and his faithful canine companion in ambitious new ventures laced with laugh-inducing complications, including giant bees, kidnapped dogs, a beach resort in the cellar, and a finale at the Prickly Thicket country club.

A Basement Beach Resort and the Deduct-o-Matic

Episode 2, "The Last Resort," shifts the action indoors when rain washes out the pair's holiday plans. Rather than cancel the trip, Wallace and Gromit convert their own basement into a beach resort, keeping the vacation spirit alive underground. The conversion supplies the episode's setting and its cast of visiting guests. That arrangement breaks down when one of the resort guests is bonked by an unknown assailant, turning a comedic holiday substitute into a small mystery with a culprit to identify.

Solving that case falls to Gromit and the deduct-o-matic, the invention named for the episode's investigative task. The player works through this scenario as one self-contained episode, with its own comedic conflict to settle before the duo sets things right by tea time. The assault on the resort guest sets the goal, while the deduct-o-matic provides the deductive device tied to the investigation. Like the other episodes, it opens with a premise that escalates and closes with the situation resolved.

Monty Muzzle’s Fundraiser and the Prickly Thicket Finale

In the third episode, town newcomer Monty Muzzle stages a fundraiser to rebuild the local dog shelter, presenting himself as a charitable benefactor. Gromit uncovers that Muzzle's intentions are not charitable at all, which turns the campaign into a deception to expose. The canine companion's task is twofold: foil Muzzle's plot and rescue his canine friends, tying the episode's rescue objective to the revealed scheme rather than to the fundraising event itself.

The fourth episode, the Prickly Thicket finale, begins with Wallace admitted to the oldest country club in Lancashire. Wallace and Gromit, acting as his faithful caddie, are caught up in a club dispute and must then fight to save all they hold dear. Across the series, the duo travels through trials and tribulations to set things right by tea time, and the closing scenario places that resolution at the Prickly Thicket country club, completing the string of comedic complications that also includes giant bees, kidnapped dogs and a cellar beach resort.

A Telltale Adventure for Windows, Made with Aardman

Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Adventures is listed on Steam for Windows, with a 2009 Steam product date and Telltale as both developer and publisher. The store classifies it under Adventure and Casual, and the four-episode run is framed around the earnest inventor and his faithful canine companion taking on ambitious ventures that gather unexpected, laugh-inducing complications. Each episode resolves its own comedic conflict, with the duo facing trials and tribulations before setting things right by tea time, so the giant bees or the cellar resort belong to separate self-contained scenarios rather than one continuous plot.

The scenarios move from a honey business to a basement vacation and beyond. In the first episode, Wallace tries supersized flowers to rescue his struggling honey trade, producing giant bees and an angry swarm that Gromit must stop. In the second, rain washes out the pair’s holiday, so they convert their basement into a beach resort; when a guest is bonked by an unknown assailant, Gromit turns to the deduct-o-matic to identify the culprit. Later, newcomer Monty Muzzle’s dog-shelter fundraiser becomes a deception to expose and a canine rescue, before the Prickly Thicket country club finale.
